What is the CMQ™? The Cognitive Mastery Quotient™ (CMQ™) is a self-assessment that measures how effectively you understand, regulate, and direct your thinking. It reveals the patterns behind how you process information, manage emotion, and turn thought into action. Unlike personality or IQ tests, the CMQ™ assesses cognitive awareness, adaptability, and self- mastery. Developed by Dr. Cleverly through real-world work with Critical Thinkers and Neuro- Intense™ individuals, this tool offers a clear snapshot of your current level of cognitive control - from reactive to masterful.

Your Results: At the end of the CMQ™ assessment, your total score will place you into one of four levels of cognitive mastery. These categories reflect how effectively you direct your thoughts, regulate emotion, and navigate challenge. A score between 170–200 indicates Mastery in Motion: You consistently manage your mind with clarity and control, demonstrating advanced cognitive skills and emotional regulation. You are ready for the next level of personal or professional growth, where precision and alignment become your edge. Those scoring 130–169 fall into the Strategic Self-Leader range, showing solid development and a strong foundation for deeper refinement. A score of 90–129 reflects the Emerging Navigator stage, where awareness is forming, but reactivity and old habits still surface. Scores below 90 land in the Foundational range, where you're just beginning to recognize patterns and shift from automatic mental habits to conscious choice. Wherever you land, this is a snapshot, not a verdict. Growth is possible at every stage.

Instructions: To complete the CMQ™ assessment, simply read each statement and select the option that best reflects how true it is for you, using the scale from 1 (Never true) to 4 (Always true). If you're uncertain between two choices, choose the lower number, as it tends to reflect greater honesty in self-assessments. There are no right or wrong answers, and absolutely no judgment; this is a personal reflection, not a test. Some statements are scored in reverse, so it’s important to respond based on how they genuinely apply to you, not how you think they “should.” Please take your time; most people complete it in about 10 minutes. Once finished, your total score and mastery category will be sent to you by email. If you do not receive the results, please check your spam folder!
